Creating this new pet food product for our canine friends was a wonderful opportunity to combine locally sourced premium natural ingredients with sustainability leaving the lightest possible impact on the planet.
This philosophy has impacted our conscious decisions from sourcing our ingredients through to our packaging to transportation.
Being able to source beef and lamb from our New Zealand pastures have been an honour as the carbon footprint of New Zealand beef and lamb is amongst the lowest in the world. In addition, New Zealand beef and sheep farmers follow a form of rotational grazing, believed to be one of the most sustainable forms of livestock production.
The meat ingredients we use in our product can be traced back to its New Zealand source farms - our beef is GMO free, our lamb is grass fed, and our chicken are free range.
How we package our product is equally important. Most pet food is packaged in plastic pouches with extensive plastic wrapping. We have chosen consciously and thoughtfully with the decision to use glass not only to preserve the ultimate flavour for your canine friend but also for its quality to be endlessly recycled. On a practical level, it also means that it is easy to serve and store in your fridge without spillage.
